The European Commission has award moveUP a funding to support further R&D and internationalization. To support its expansion in The Netherlands, moveUP is looking to onboard a qualified and motivated:

Business Development Manager The Netherlands

You are responsible for the development of the market and the business in The Netherlands. You will create, develop and execute strategic initiatives to create awareness, market acceptation and revenue generation. You will make sure our business model is matching the national or regional healthcare systems. You will collaborate and build new business opportunities with health insurers, specialists and hospital management responsible for clinical governance, quality, patient pathways, outpatient follow-up, patient experience, patient satisfaction and efficiencies. As you will be the first full-time employee in The Netherlands you need to act both strategic and hands-on, responsible for sales & marketing initiatives.

Every day is different. You work for a scale up in digital health. A lot of people are interested to hear your stories and what you offer, as you are building a cornerstone of the future of healthcare: digital follow-up and treatment at home, measuring & improving quality of care, maximizing patient engagement, etc. However, you will need to focus on the projects in which you can create a profitable business case. You have several customer meetings per day, virtual or on-site across The Netherlands, and you follow-up with the different stakeholders. After discussing & finalizing the contract, you stay involved during implementation and follow-up to make sure expectations are met. You collaborate with local organisations supporting business development and implementation. You also collaborate with other e-health, Medtech, and pharma companies to create synergies.  You have a short communication line and proactively report progress in the CRM. When successful, the business development manager is in pole position to lead the growth of the business and the team in The Netherlands.

We have just opened our flex office in Nijmegen, and as we speak we are finalising a contract with a leading health insurer.

Job requirements

  • Have proven experience of selling healthcare services into hospitals, with a good understanding how the health system works, including the needs of the different stakeholders, financial streams, how decisions are taken, etc.
  • Are creative, looks for solutions
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • A self-starter attitude with an ability to inspire people and to positively influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Open communicator with appetite for collaboration. 
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Native in Dutch. Proficiency of English language both verbally and written. Knowledge of German is an asset.
  • Motivated to lead the expansion of the business and the team in The Netherlands.
  • has experience in the health insurance market
  • work remote and is willing to travel
  • you will work full time or at least 60% for moveUP.
